Robert “Bob” Leon Duncan

March 19, 1942 – February 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Leon Duncan, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 82. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who lived life to the fullest.

Bob is survived by his wife, Andree Duncan, of Kingman; his children, Korey Llewelyn (Cory) of Salt Lake City, UT, Randi Beale (Lef) of Kingman, Lindsay Bauer (Jason) of Phoenix, and Jimmy Duncan of Tucson; his step-children, Pierre Langlois of Kingman, Michelle Peterson of Upland, CA, and Claude Langlois (Sarah) of Las Vegas, NV. He was the proud grandfather of Jack, Mia, Cody, Andrew, Cole, Peter, and Grace. He was also blessed with bonus grandchildren: Emerald, Arielle, Chelsea (Hunter), Landon (Mallory), Joey, and Coleman (Brooke and baby Lola). Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Menveg; his step-father, Lowell Mohns; and his baby brother, Billy.

Throughout his life, Bob embraced every opportunity to explore, enjoy, and experience the world around him. He was a man who believed in living boldly. He went skydiving at 80, did back flips off a diving board at 82, and traveled the world with his beloved wife, Andree. Bob had a zest for life that was unparalleled—he loved to stop and smell the roses, literally, taking in every detail of nature’s beauty. His passion for fishing and the outdoors was a defining part of who he was, and there wasn’t a trail in town he hadn’t walked, nor a fish story he didn’t embellish with joy.

Bob’s athleticism was legendary. He was a standout high school and college running back, even helping his college win a national championship in 1962. He remained incredibly active throughout his life and could hold his own in nearly any sport.

But more than anything, Bob cherished his family and friends. He loved to share stories of his travels and his adventures, regaling those around him with tales of laughter, love, and life’s many blessings. His spirit, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bob’s legacy will live on in the memories of those he touched with his generous heart and boundless joy for life. He will be greatly missed but forever remembered.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 10:00 AM at Sutton Funeral Home. An interment of his ashes will immediately follow at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Joan and Diana Hospice House, 812 Airway Ave., Kingman, AZ 86409, in Bob’s memory.

  1. dear Andree, I had no idea about his passing and am truly sorry that it happened. You have my most sincere condolences. It seems he was a jewel in your life and to those who shared his life experiences. Be strong! I will pray for your “sanity” since I know first-hand how hard a loss of a loved one affects you.
