LAKE HAVASU CITY – Last weekend Punishers LEMC Havasu Crew Chapter hosted their First Annual Charity Poker Run. The event took place on Saturday, November 9 at BJ’s Cabana Bar.

Punishers LEMC Havasu Crew Chapter is an organization that offers financial assistance to a variety of charitable groups. Through support of the community, the nonprofit is able to assist disadvantaged children, supports breast cancer awareness, EMS employees, firefighters, helping families of fallen police officers and much more. This motorcycle team combines their love of riding and giving back to communities.

Last Saturday members gathered for a poker run and a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and best poker hand prize.  Donors of the event were announced throughout the fundraiser. Tickets were $25 per rider or $40 for those wanting to bring a passenger.

Donors of the fundraiser with $1,000 or more in contributions, were included in the punisher’s apparel along with a commemorative plaque, showing their support of veterans. In honor of Veterans Day, Punishers LEMC gave a portion of proceeds to Veterans United Arizona. This organization is statewide for low-income veterans aligned with the standards of Veterans Administration.  The veteran organization provides services to veterans in need such as rides to health clinics, home repairs, yard cleaning, and several other accessible services.

More than just a motorcycle group, Punishers LEMC Havasu Crew are here to provide service to others.
