Prison ordered in cyber-sex blackmail case

MOHAVE VALLEY – A Mohave Valley teenager is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections for hacking computers and blackmailing girls and young women to provide him sexually explicit images and videos. The 15-year prison term was the maximum punishment possible under terms of a plea agreement entered for Cameron Brush, 18.

Brush pleaded guilty in April to two counts of computer tampering and three counts each of sexual extortion, sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor. Authorities said Brush hacked computer accounts to find content used as leverage to blackmail victims to send him sexually explicit images and videos.

Family members pleaded with the Court, citing Brush’s immaturity, regret and remorse. Sentence was imposed by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Doug Camacho.
