Pratt ordered to three years for drug binge

KINGMAN – A three-year prison term was ordered Monday for a Bullhead City man who was found slumped over in a vehicle during a drug binge. Christopher Pratt, 25, was discovered unresponsive in a running vehicle on Riviera Boulevard on July 3.

Officers reportedly found about three grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle along with usable quantities of heroin and marijuana, as well as some drug paraphernalia. Pratt pleaded guilty to an attempted sale of dangerous drug charge in exchange for dismissal of other drug related counts.

Defense attorney Christopher Margolis told Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert that Pratt had a rough childhood, began using drugs at a very young age and was just eight years old when first arrested.

Margolis told the court that his client intends to take advantage of counseling services while in custody so that he can become drug-free and live a clean life after prison. Margolis also agreed to pay almost $400 in restitution to the Fort Mohave Walmart in exchange for the state’s agreement to dismiss a shoplifting charge that had been pending in Bullhead City Justice Court.
