Child drowning under investigation

A two year-old girl pulled from a residential swimming pool north of Lake Havasu City last Friday died two days later. The apparent drowning incident remains under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen identified the victim as Harley Netter. She said deputies responded to the 3000 block of Jennie Lane in Desert Hills where family members had pulled Netter from the pool after discovering her face down in the water. Netter was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center and then flown to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital in extremely critical condition. She was pronounced dead at 10:25…

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Manager Mike Hendrix is retiring. Hendrix has informed the Board of Supervisors he will not seek contract renewal and intends to step down at the end of the current fiscal year, a little more than three months from now. Hendrix was first employed by Mohave County on May 7, 1984. Hendrix worked his way up the ranks of the Public Works Director before he became a Director of the Department. Kingman City offices to remain closed to the public until May 4

KINGMAN – In following Governor Ducey’s Executive Order (2020-18) “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected,” the City of Kingman is continuing the current closures of all city buildings (except the Municipal Courthouse, Parks and Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course) to all public access until at least May 4, 2020. Governor Ducey has asked Arizonans to limit their time away from their residences, but if people need to leave their homes, they practice physical distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19.
