Havasu ranked fourth safest in state

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City is proud to announce that it has been ranked as the fourth safest city in Arizona, according to a recent study published by Moving Waldo.

“Lake Havasu City’s continued partnership with our community and ongoing support of our public servants is a collective effort that positions Lake Havasu City as a premier destination where people can live, work, and enjoy life with a sense of unmatched security and belonging,” said Mayor Cal Sheehy.

The study, titled Top 5 Safest Cities in Arizona with Best Quality of Life 2024, was released in late January. The ranking of cities was based on several criteria: crime rate, quality of schools, job opportunities and affordability.

Lake Havasu City clinched the fourth spot due to its violent and property crime rate of 39 crimes per 1,000 people, significantly lower than Arizona’s average rate for violent and property crimes, along with its excellent quality of life.
