Child drowning under investigation

A two year-old girl pulled from a residential swimming pool north of Lake Havasu City last Friday died two days later. The apparent drowning incident remains under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s office.

Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen identified the victim as Harley Netter. She said deputies responded to the 3000 block of Jennie Lane in Desert Hills where family members had pulled Netter from the pool after discovering her face down in the water.

Netter was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center and then flown to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital in extremely critical condition. She was pronounced dead at 10:25 p.m. Sunday.
