KINGMAN — Mohave College has announced the launch of Culinary Arts at the Kingman campus, with enrollment now open for fall semester.
The program is designed for those looking to turn a passion for cooking into a career, or those just interested in learning about food preparation. Students can earn a Food Preparation Certificate and gain the skills needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced culinary and food service industries.
What the programs offer:
- Hands-on training: Learn directly from experienced chefs in professional-grade kitchens.
- Comprehensive curriculum: Includes instruction in food preparation, storage, sanitation, sustainability, purchasing and presentation.
- Diverse career opportunities: Prepare for careers as a chef, kitchen manager, restaurant owner, food truck operator or food service administrator.
- Quick entry into the workforce: The certificate offers entry-level prep cook and pantry management skills to help students launch their careers quickly.
- Improvements for in-home cooking
Whether you’re exploring a new hobby or want to level up your home cooking, this program offers something for every food enthusiast.
Classes begin Aug. 18 and Oct. 13. Afternoon and evening options are available.
Courses will be held at the Mohave College Kingman campus, located at 1971 Jagerson Ave. in Kingman.
