MOHAVE COUNTY – Take the next big step in your educational journey at Mohave Community College. Registration for the fall semester opens Feb. 20 for classes that start Aug. 19.
The College is also currently enrolling students in eight-week classes that begin March 11, and summer classes that begin May 28.
Students are encouraged to sign up and enroll in the classes they want and need as soon as possible, because many classes tend to fill up quickly.
“The earlier people start a student account, fill out the application and get enrolled in classes not only helps secure their spot, it also allows the College time to determine if more courses need to be added to meet the demand,” said MCC Executive Director of College Communications James Jarman, who also noted the College has classes available on campus, online and remotely via Zoom.
Recent labor market data shows that for every dollar a student invests at MCC they receive $6.10 in higher career earnings throughout their life. A full report on the positive economic impact MCC has on students and the county can be viewed online at Mohave.edu/ImprovingLives.
Everyone can search the classes that are available for each semester by visiting the College website Mohave.edu, selecting the Academics tab near the top of the page and the clicking Search Available Courses. Becoming a student is easy with the College’s new online application portal at Apply.Mohave.edu. Just create a student account to get started.
Once a person creates a student account and fills out the free online application, a College Student Services representative will be in contact to help guide you through the admissions and enrollment process, including tuition assistance options.
The College has four academic divisions that provide pathways for students to pursue their education and career goals:
* Career and Technical Education
* General Education and Transfer
* Health and Public Services
* Community and Corporate Education
Under these divisions, students have access to degree and certificate options (college credit courses), as well as dozens of fun and educational non-credit classes.
The College partners with business, industry, government and education leaders throughout the state to ensure graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce or transfer to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree. The College facilitates seamless credit transfers to all of the public universities in Arizona, and many other university partners.
For those who want to learn, but are not interested in earning college credits, the Community and Corporate Education Division provides a wide range of non-credit classes. Students can gain new skills in a variety of classes including short-term workforce and career training. To view the non-credit options, just head to Mohave.edu and click Community & Corporate Education in the middle of the page.
