Mayor Sheehy urges non-essential businesses to suspend operations

MOHAVE COUNTY – Governor Doug Ducey’s Executive Order 2020-18 “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected,” directs those in Arizona to limit their time away from their place of residence or property, except to conduct or participate in Essential Activities; for employment, to volunteer or participate in Essential Functions; and to utilize any service or products provided by Essential Businesses. 

The list of “Essential Services,” is available at https://azgovernor.gov/governor/news/2020/03/list-essential-services.

Lake Havasu City Mayor Cal Sheehy said, “If you have to ask, if your business is essential during these trying times, then your business is not essential.  Please suspend your businesses operations, send your employees home, and help us slow the spread of this virus.”

“The sooner we, as a community, are willing to do what the health experts are telling us to do to slow the spread of COVID-19, the sooner we can get through this.”
