London Bridge repaving discussed at LHC council

LAKE HAVASU CITY – It was a long night for Lake Havasu City Council members and residents at last week’s meeting.  The topic that extended the discussion to two and a half hours, was fueled by the city being unsure on the approval of a fourteen acre idea that was re-proposed to board members for the 1850 Bahama Avenue address.

Co-working space firm Studio KDA would like to build a resort with five different four story residential buildings. There was a lot of confusion amongst the city as to whether or not the developer was going to build a hotel, or apartments. The Studio KDA project’s intentions are to attract the rise of Havasu vacationers.

Board members decided to call an executive session to further discuss Studio KDA’s proposal, and no decisions or votes were made. The Western Arizona Humane Society will enter an agreement with animal control officers to execute animal shelter services.

Their contract will begin on October 1 and will end on June 30, 2029. The London Bridge will be undergoing repaving for existing conditions of asphalt such as curb and gutter replacing and repair alligator cracking. The rebid for repaving of the bridge will be done by Pioneer Earth Warmers.
