London Bridge Days parade enjoyed by all

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Locals gathered to view marching bands from local schools, community organizations, and neighborhood businesses on Saturday, Oct. 28 for the London Bridge Days Parade on Saturday, Oct. 28. This year’s theme was “Peace, Love, and Helping Havasu.”

London Bridge was originally built in the 1830s and ranged to the River Thames in London, England.

By 1968, the bridge was bought by entrepreneur Robert P. McCulloch. McCulloch planned the community of Lake Havasu City in 1964. He had outer granite blocks that originated from the bridge were brought to the U.S. to create the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City. The bridge we see now in Arizona, is reinforced concrete. The structured clad is in the initial brickwork of the 1830s bridge. The bridge was completed in October of 1971 for the public to enjoy.
