Living Waters Hospice thanks everyone for Thanksgiving meal donations

Dear Editor,

When the community comes together, it’s a beautiful thing.

This Thanksgiving, through a powerful collaboration with our local hospice and home health agencies, Living Waters Hospice was able to deliver 160 meals to our homebound community members and veterans. Without these meals, many would have gone without a holiday dinner.

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated volunteers of Vaughn’s Mission and the Tri-State Cares Board, your compassion and hard work make this mission possible every single year.

Special thanks to Board Secretary Maria Bower, whose 17 years of commitment have shaped this effort. We’d also like to recognize the incredible volunteers for their kindness and service. We are grateful beyond words.

We would also like to give a special thank you to John and Rachel Sweet of Sweetrans LLC for their generous donation and Take 5 Oil Change for their donation as well. Due to all of you, our community members were cared for, remembered, and nourished.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, cooked, delivered, organized, and supported us. This is community. This is compassion. This is what it looks like when we truly care for one another.
