KINGMAN – The City of Kingman and Mohave County invite residents, stakeholders, and community partners to participate in a joint Water Sustainability and Drought Contingency Plan Task Force meeting on Tuesday, November 25, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Kingman City Council Chambers, located at 310 N. Fourth Street.

The task force will continue its review and discussion of proposed updates to the region’s Drought Contingency Plan, with an emphasis on the chapters related to Vulnerability Assessment, Mitigation Actions, and Response Strategies. The draft plan is available for public review, and those interested are strongly encouraged to read the document in advance and bring questions, recommendations, or comments for consideration.  The draft plan can be reviewed here: https://www.cityofkingman.gov/home/showdocument?id=10083&t=638992340445515843

Following these discussions, a final draft plan will be developed. The task force must accept the final draft and submit it to the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) by the first week or so of January 2026. Due to the short turnaround time for submission, formal presentations of the final plan will take place after BOR approval.

In addition to plan updates, task force members will also discuss regional partnership opportunities and public outreach initiatives aimed at engaging the community in sustainable water conservation and long-term resource management.

Those unable to attend in person may join remotely via Zoom using the following link:
