KINGMAN — The Kingman Little League capped its season with a lively year‑end awards ceremony, highlighted by the announcement of the 2026 All‑Star team that will represent the league in the upcoming District 9 Tournament. Kingman will host the tournament this year at Southside Park from June 26 through July 3.
More than 300 players on league rosters, ages 8 to 12, spent the afternoon enjoying jump houses, concessions, raffle baskets, entertainment, and plenty of room to burn off end‑of‑season energy before the formal recognitions began.
The unveiling of the 12‑player All‑Star roster marks the start of a focused stretch of preparation leading into district play. The team’s path, if successful, could ultimately lead all the way to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
All‑Star coach Dustin DeLeo said the immediate priority is bringing the group together after a short break following the regular season.
“We’ve had two weeks off or so since the end of the season,” DeLeo said. “So it’s just a matter of getting everybody back in the swing of things, knocking the rust off and getting back to work.”
DeLeo noted that familiarity should work in the team’s favor. “Three quarters of our team is the same from our nine‑to‑11 team last year,” he said. “I think they got a lot of experience from last year. They know what to expect this year, and I think they’ll be ready to go.”
With the ceremony complete, attention now turns to tournament play later this month. The District 9 All‑Star Tournament runs June 26 through July 3 at Southside Park.
