Kingman Concert Band kicks off season

KINGMAN – The Kingman Concert Band is tuning up for its first performance of their 2019-2020 season, “A Journey Through Space”, at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, at Stetson Winery, 10965 N. Moonscape Way, Valle Vista. The public is encouraged to attend this free performance! The performance is free and open to the public.

Volunteer members of the community band will present an afternoon of music taking the audience on an intergalactic trip. The concert’s line up will include a variety of popular tunes and traditional concert band music ranging from Star Wars to Apollo 13, Journey to Sinatra. The performance will showcase local vocalist and music educator Daniel Hunter’s rendition of jazz tune Star Dust.

Kingman Concert Band will also be holding their Frozen Yogurt Island Benefit on Friday, October 4, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.at 3880 Stockton Hill Road. Ten percent of the event’s proceeds will go to the Kingman Concert Band’s pursuits to provide free performances throughout the community.
