How are you using your words?

As our nation goes through these times of tribulation and turmoil, I am reminded of “words”. Words are powerful, if used correctly. To many times we say things that devastate someone’s hope and dreams with what they say. Recently, I was grocery shopping and overheard this conversation, “Can you help me sanitize these carts please?” Answer: “No, that’s not in my job description”.

I couldn’t help but ask, “Why not? Don’t you work here too?” This person seemed nice and she was young too but I couldn’t help but be a little turned off and her niceness disappeared. All I saw then was a person who was not a team player.

Someone who was for the money and had no interest in helping anyone except herself. She tried to explain her reasons but it was too late. I saw the real her.

So it is with these people who have chosen to riot and try to force their angry words and actions to get their point across. Their words lost power when they started to destroy and cause harm to those around them, they lost those who were ready to listen.

We have no interest in listening to them rant about injustice when their doing the same by destroying those around them and destroying people’s lives. What makes them think these actions are fair and justified? No, all we see now is spoiled people who have learned to throw tantrums when they want something done like a three-year-old.

We taught them this, yes, we taught them this, by letting them get away with this type of behavior and no punishments for their actions. Make them clean up the mess they created. We gave them the examples with the fights on Capitol Hill, both Republicans and Democrats alike, by their tantrums and refusals to work together.

Each demanding their own way. Not with tantrums but with name calling and lies. The mainstream media has contributed as well by playing one against the other with no punishment for their actions. Yes, we taught them, “Their rights to destroy one another” by our actions. So, in these times, do you rise to these challenges or do you follow? In the Disney movie “Milan”, the wise one says, “When one finds those who rise in adversity, one finds a great treasure”. Which one are you? “Words”.

Think about it.
