Havasu seeks public input on updates to General Plan

RONALD_FORTI

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Lake Havasu City is updating its 2016 General Plan and asks the public to be part of the process by participating in a public questionnaire and steering committee.  The general plan is a long-term vision guiding decisions on growth, development, infrastructure, and quality of life. The 2026 General Plan Update is officially named Lake Havasu City General Plan: Shaping our Future.

The City’s General Plan Update (GPU) website is live and is updated with important information about the GPU process, upcoming meetings, public events, questionnaires, and more. Please visit: www.publicinput.com/lakehavasugeneralplan.

Additionally, the city is accepting applications for the General Plan Steering Committee (GPSC), a working group of approximately 11 community members.  The GPSC provides input and perspective during the process and an opportunity to review and comment on the content of the GPU as it is prepared.  Up to three meetings will be held on strategic milestones of the project.

For more information or to apply for the GPSC, please visit our Steering Committee homepage, www.publicinput.com/lakehavasugeneralplan#tab-62224. Applications are accepted through Friday, April 25, 2025.  For those who do not apply, there are opportunities to participate and provide input virtually and at other community events and meetings.

For more information, please contact the Lake Havasu City Planning Division at (928) 453-4148 or PlanningInfo@lhcaz.gov.
