Havasu Downtown Association plans fall events

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Downtown Association of Lake Havasu held a jam-packed meeting to start off the week. Their first meeting for this month took place on Monday, September 9 from at Nomadic coworking space.

Board members were all geared up to discuss all the upcoming and exciting events scheduled to happen this fall in downtown Lake Havasu. The Downtown Association consists of local business owners and volunteers of Lake Havasu’s most touristy street, McCulloch Blvd.

Representatives from various downtown businesses currently serving on the board range from home improvement stores like Havasu Hardware, and dessert shops like Smallcakes. The association is passionate about maintaining the beat of success throughout the community.

The organization is rich with Lake Havasu history with a website that is filled with fun facts about the notable downtown area founded by Robert P. McCulloch during the 1960s.  It also includes stories about the construction of Arnold Plaza during that time, and many more fascinating details about our downtown’s early beginnings.

Their first meeting of the month was full of discussions about some of the town’s most anticipated events like the return of last week’s First Friday, a wine walk event with the Rotary Club, fundraising for October’s annual Fright Night, London bridge Days, and much more. Meetings are held every second Monday of the month.

You do not have to be a downtown business owner to become a member.  Memberships with the association are available to anyone wanting to get involved with the downtown area’s ongoing happenings. The association’s membership fee is $50 per month.

You can also sign up for their newsletter on their website to stay in the know of upcoming events or, simply make a stop to one of their meetings, which is always free to the public.  The Downtown Association of Lake Havasu was created to keep Lake Havasu’s downtown area thriving as well as create new ideas to preserve the town’s unmistakable charm.
