Golden Valley victim in Kingman crime spree identified

GOLDEN VALLEY — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the woman allegedly killed by a Kingman man who was shot at the end of a crime spree last Wednesday, April 30. Sheriff Doug Schuster identified the victim as Ronni Marzolf, 64.

Schuster said it appears that the murder of Marzolf on her property in the 3700 block of Bosque Road in Golden Valley was a random act, and that she was not associated with her alleged killer, Jeremy Muse, 36, Kingman.

Kingman police said Muse fled after firing gunshots at his girlfriend in Kingman shortly after noon, also on April 30. Police Chief Rusty Cooper said Muse had held the woman and her kids captive for several days where they lived until she was able to escape the residence in the 2300 block of Valentine Avenue.

The woman who reportedly drew fire while running from Muse was not struck or wounded. Authorities were looking for Muse when he reportedly shot and killed Marzolf in Golden Valley, about an hour after fleeing Kingman.

Hours later Muse led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit that ended when his vehicle crashed into another at the intersection of Airway Avenue and Willow Road. Authorities said he was critically wounded when shot multiple times during a gun battle with officers.

Muse was flown to a trauma center in Las Vegas for treatment. Follow up investigation continues.
