Glen Canyon unlocks more amenities for spring and summer

PAGE, Ariz. – Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is opening additional facilities for the spring and summer season as warmer weather and longer days return. While the park is open year-round, several services that were closed during winter are now available to visitors.

The following facilities are now open:

Wahweap District: Restrooms at the Wahweap Picnic Area and at the parking lot for beach access across from the Wahweap Campground are open. Outdoor drinking fountains, fishing cleaning stations and Wahweap boat pump out are open. Carl Hayden Visitor Center open daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  

Lone Rock Primitive Campground: Micro-flush toilets, restrooms, showers, potable water, RV dump services and additional vault toilets are open.  

Antelope Point Public Launch Ramp: All vault toilets are open.   

Lees Ferry: The fish cleaning station, RV dump and the campground upper loop are open.  

Rainbow Bridge: Floating restrooms are open.  

Bullfrog: Picnic area restrooms, Bullfrog boat pump out, outdoor drinking fountains fish cleaning stations, land-based portable toilet dumps and microflush toilets are open. Bullfrog Urgent Care Clinic is closed. Call 911 for emergencies.  

Halls Crossing: Launch ramp public restrooms are open.  

Escalante: Escalante Interagency Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Additionally, park partners and concessioner-operated facilities will extend their hours for the spring and summer season. Visit the Seasonal Hours page for current information.
