Full closure of Airway Ave, Flying Fortress Pkwy due to Flying Fortress Phase II Improvements Project

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is notifying residents of a full road closure on Airway Avenue between Prospector Street and the new Flying Fortress Parkway, and from Airway Avenue to Interstate 40 Traffic Interchange along the Flying Fortress Parkway.

This segment of Airway Avenue is and will be closed to all traffic to allow for the installation of new box culverts and street improvements. This work is being completed in connection with the Flying Fortress Parkway Phase II Project. The closure is expected to remain in place through September 28.

During the closure, residents and motorists east of the work area will need to use alternate routes. Access will be maintained via DW Ranch Road/Minerva Lane from Interstate 40.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detour signage, and allow additional travel time.

For updates and notifications on traffic impacts and other City projects, residents are encouraged to download the City’s mobile app, KingmanAZConnect.
