MOHAVE COUNTY – The Arizona testing blitz is continuing with two set up for the next two weekends in Mohave County cities.  Sonora Quest Laboratories has free COVID-19 testing this weekend, Saturday, May 9 from 6am to 11am at the Anderson Auto Group Field House in Bullhead City (3663 Bullhead Parkway.)  It is on a first come/first served basis.

The second free testing will take place on Saturday, May 16 from 6am to 11am at Lake Havasu City’s Aquatic Center, 100 Park Avenue.  It is also on a first come/first served basis. It’s advised that those wanting to participate should fill out the COVID-19 Test Form online.  It is available here:

Although anyone can be tested, Mohave County Health Director Denise Burley says “We are especially encouraging individuals who believe they may have been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 case, or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to participate in one of the two testing events.”

These are the symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

All test results from last Saturday’s Kingman Testing Blitz have been received. Of the 216 tests performed, four were positive, and five cancelled as a result of “leakage during transit.” There are no pending results. Sonora Quest will be contacting the individuals whose tests were cancelled to schedule an appoint to conduct a new test.
