Frances A Beatty, 82, of Kingman Arizona passed away on April 14th, 2026 under Hospice care with family at her side, after losing a battle with complications associated with pneumonia.
A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 23rd at St Mary Roman Catholic Church in Kingman, and cremation interment rights will take place the following Tuesday, April 28th at 11am at Mountain View Cemetery, also in Kingman.
A Chicago area remembrance will occur at a later date.
She is survived by her loving husband, Vincent M Beatty, son Gary Jany, son Brian Jany and his wife Denise, and Brian’s children Joey, Matthew and Allyson (deceased).
After marrying Vincent in 1986, Frances instantly added 4 more children; Kathy Malfeo and her husband Carmine, Kim Pluzycki and her husband Rick, and Robert and Thomas. She loved ALL of the many grandchildren and great grandchildren very, very much and was loved back.
Frances was born in 1943 and was daughter to Wanda and Ralph “Ray” Budzinski in Chicago, and had two brothers; younger brother Bob (deceased) and older brother Ralph with his wife Dawn. She was a favorite aunt “Aunty Fran” to all of her nieces and nephews.
Frances was an exceptional student in school, always getting all A’s She lugged an enormous accordion to school several times a week, and could play a mean polka. After graduating from Kennedy High School, she soon was working at Rheem/Ruud as a secretary, where she met her first husband George Jany and had the two boys, Gary and Brian. Later, Frances was single again and was working as a secretary at Wrigley Chewing Gum (in the R&D division, where she helped to research and implement their very first computer!). While attending a wedding, she just so happened to be sitting at the singles table with no other than Vincent Beatty. It was love at first sight! Frances and Vincent soon married and lived together in Justice Illinois for several years.
In the Justice house, they hosted many family parties, but the year revolved around her favorite holiday, Christmas Eve. This is where her famous Santa Clause collection began, eventually growing to over 4,000 Santas, from all over the world; there was even a newspaper article printed about it.
Later, Frances and Vincent purchased some land in Kingman where they built their beautiful dream home.
Always focused on the importance of education, Frances was an avid reader, having read stacks of the classics and all kinds of other books. She loved her coffee and donuts, “taking her breaks”, and especially taking trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin. Frances was kiddingly known as the “Video Poker Queen”; she not only loved to play video poker, but had an uncanny knack for getting a royal flush.
Frances was very generous and charitable, always helping anyone in need. She was a great cook; home made pizzas, chile, soups and stews, Christmas cookies, gołąbkis and we all loved her chocolate chip pancakes. She had a lot of hobbies; knitting, crocheting, scrapbooks, collecting Santas. There is nothing Frances could not do if she put her mind to it. Her favorite hobby was spending her time with Vincent and her family.
The family, and especially Vincent are very sad to say goodbye to Frances, however we know we will meet again in heaven one day, perhaps in the great casino in the sky.
