Flag raising will be held Monday, June 8

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to invite residents to help us raise the American and POW/MIA flags at Veteran’s Memorial Park next to Locomotive Park. The event will take place Monday, June 8, at 11:00 a.m.

Members of the Marine Corps League, the Young Marines, the Vietnam Veterans of America, and other local groups will be in attendance to help the city raise the flags.

Last month, the Veteran’s Memorial Park was vandalized, and therefore the flagpole cable had to be replaced. The city would like to thank our Public Works Department for working swiftly to replace the cable for the flagpole, and also the City Parks Department for coordinating the event with numerous groups.
