Eastern Street to be temporarily closed this weekend

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is alerting residents to a weekend road closure at the intersection of Eastern Street and Airfield Avenue beginning Friday, June 27, at 9 a.m. through Monday, June 30, at 6 a.m. The detour for north-to-south traffic will guide drivers along Eastern Street to Alpha, then onto Pacific, continuing to Central, followed by Pasadena, and looping back to Eastern. Please see the attached detour map for reference.

While access to homes and businesses will be maintained, there may be intermittent disruptions. The contractor will provide assistance with driveway access and notify affected properties in advance as the project progresses.

This temporary closure is to continue installing the new Santa Rosa Transmission Main water line. The project is anticipated to be completed by mid-December, 2025.  This vital infrastructure project is designed to enhance the city’s water delivery system by optimizing pump operations, removing pressure-reducing valves, and creating a clear separation between the Main Tank and Rattlesnake water zones. These improvements will significantly increase water system reliability and efficiency for Kingman residents.

There is an information hotline in place for any additional questions, 928-233-8790 or info@yourprojectmo.com

The City appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as we work to upgrade essential infrastructure in our community. Information on future phases of the project will be shared as it becomes available.

Residents should expect to see construction crews, heavy equipment, and trucks in the area during work hours. Activities will include asphalt removal, trench excavation, pipe installation, and road restoration. The City urges drivers and pedestrians to use caution, obey traffic control signage, and help ensure a safe environment for workers and the traveling public.
