COVID-19 update: 18 new cases, two deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified this afternoon of 18 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. There are also two deaths from previously reported cases.

One of the two deaths is a 50-59 year age range person in the Lake Havasu City service area. The other is a 70-79 person in the Bullhead City service area.

Of the 18 new cases, 11 are in the Bullhead City service area. The Lake Havasu City service area also has 5 new cases. There are two new case in the Kingman service area. The North County service area has no new cases.

Of the 11 Bullhead City area cases, 9 are under investigation. One is 0-10; one is 11-19; three are 30-39; two are 40-49; two are 80-89. The two remaining Bullhead City area cases are both recovering at home and are linked to another confirmed case.  One is 11-19; one is 50-59.

Of the 5 Lake Havasu City area cases, one is a 60-69 person, who is hospitalized and is linked to another confirmed case. The remaining four cases are all under investigation.  One is 60-69; three are 70-79.

Of the two Kingman area cases, both are recovering at home and are linked to another confirmed case. One is 80-89 and the other is 90+.

There are now1,493 positive cases in Bullhead City, including 70 deaths.

There are now 1,012 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including 35 deaths.

There are 627 positive confirmed cases in Kingman, including 55 deaths.

There are 70 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other” (composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,) There are 0 deaths there.

There are a total of 158 deaths in the county from the disease.

Total positive cases, 3,215.

The Mohave County Department of Health does not report any “probable” cases, only “confirmed” cases of COVID-19.

As of now, the MCDPH is reporting a total of 1,841 RECOVERED CASES in the county.  

The average age of all Mohave County positive cases is now 48 years old.

The average age of deaths from COVID-19 in Mohave County is now 77.
