COVID-19 update: 16 new cases, two deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Thursday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 16 new COVID-19 confirmed cases and two deaths.  One of the deaths is a 70-79 age range person in the Bullhead City service area, a previously reported case.  The other was not previously reported. It’s a 90+ person in the Kingman service area.

Of the 16 new cases, 8 are in the Bullhead City area. One is hospitalized. That person is 50-59 and is linked to another confirmed case.  Three cases are recovering at home and are linked to another case. One is20-29; one is 30-39; one is 50-59. The remaining four Bullhead City area cases are recovering at home and their cases are under investigation. One is 30-39; one is 50-59; one is 60-69; one is 80-89.

Five of the 16 cases are in the Lake Havasu City service area. Three are recovering at home and are under investigation.  Two of them are 11-19 and one is 70-79.  The final two Havasu area cases are 50-59 and both are recovering at home and linked to another confirmed case.

The final two cases are in the Kingman service area (please remember, we already counted one case in Kingman, who died and wasn’t reported before.) One is 40-49, at home and linked to another case.  The last case is 60-69 and is under investigation.

There are now 113 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including 9 deaths, 246 in Kingman, with a total of 37 deaths there, and 10 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other”(composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,)  and 202 in Bullhead City, including 16 deaths.  There are now a total of – 60 deaths in the county from the disease.
