COVID-19 update: 137 new cases, two deaths Wednesday

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Wednesday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 137 new COVID-19 confirmed cases. There are also two deaths in the Bullhead City service area. There are 61 new cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 59 cases in the Bullhead City service area. There are 15 cases in the Kingman service area. The final two cases are both in the North County service area. The two Bullhead City area deaths are 50-59 and 80-89. Both are previously reported cases.

Of the 59 Bullhead City area cases, 57 cases remain under investigation. One is 0-10; five are 11-19; eight are 20-29; seven are 30-39; six are 40-49; eight are 50-59; eleven are 60-69; seven are 70-79; four are 80-89. There is one 70-79 year age range person, who is hospitalized and the case is under investigation and there is one 30-39 person, who is recovering as home and is linked to another confirmed case.

Of the 61 Lake Havasu City area cases, 59 remain under investigation. One is 0-10; five are 11-19; nine are 20-29; eleven are 30-39; four are 40-49; ten are 50-59; seven are 60-69; ten are 70-79; one is 80-89; one is 90+. Of the two remaining of the 61 cases, one is 70-79, hospitalized and the case is under investigation.  The final Lake Havasu City area case is 50-59, recovering at home and is linked to another case.

Of the 15 Kingman area cases, 14 remain under investigation. Four are 40-49; four are 50-59; five are 60-69; one is 70-79. The 15th Kingman area case is 4049, recovering at home and is linked to another case.

The two North County area cases are both 60-69 and their cases are under investigation.

There are now 626 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including 14 deaths, 434 in Kingman, with a total of 46 deaths there, and 38 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other”(composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,)  and 984 in Bullhead City, including 36 deaths. There are now a total of 96 deaths in the county from the disease. Total positive cases, 2,084.

The Mohave County Department of Health does not report “probable” cases, only “confirmed” cases of COVID-19.

The average age of all Mohave County positive cases is now 48.4 years old.

The average age of deaths from COVID-19 in Mohave County is now 78.2.

As of now the MCDPH is reporting a total of 581 recovered cases in the county. This will be updated once a week on Mondays for the previous week.
