MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Thursday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 74 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and that includes one death not previously reported.

The one death is that of a 90+ year age range person and it’s a case in the Bullhead City service area that was not previously reported.

Of the 73 other cases, 26 cases are in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 25 cases in the Bullhead City service area. There are 16 cases in the Kingman service area.  There are 6 cases in the North County service area.

Of the 26 Lake Havasu City area cases, 25 of the cases remain under investigation. Three are 11-19; seven are 20-29; three are 30-39; one is 40-49; three are 50-59; five are 60-69; two are 70-79; one is 80-89. The final Lake Havasu City area case is a 30-39 person who is recovering at home and is linked to another case.

Of the 25 cases in the Bullhead City area, 23 remain under investigation. One is 11-19; four are 20-29; three are 30-39; two are 40-49;six are 50-59; three are 60-69; four are 70-79. The two remaining Bullhead City area cases are recovering at home and are linked to another case. One is 20-29 and the other is 40-49.

Of the 16 Kingman area cases, 10 are under investigation. One is 20-29; one is 30-39; two are 40-49; two are 50-59; four are 60-69. The remaining six cases are recovering at home and are linked to another case. Two are 20-29; one is 30-39; one is 40-49; one is 60-69; one is 90+.

The final 6 cases are in the North County area. Five cases are under investigation. One is 30-39; one is 50-59; two are 60-69; one is 90+.The final North County area case is a 0-10 person who is recovering at home and is linked to another case.

There are now1,193 positive cases in Bullhead City, including 56 deaths.

There are now 819 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including 19 deaths.

There are 515 in Kingman, with a total of 47 deaths.

There are 47 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other” (composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,) 

There are a total of 122 deaths in the county from the disease.

Total positive cases, 2,574.

MOHAVE COUNTY – The citizens of Mohave County can expect the following road maintenance activity during the week of July 27:

Arizona Strip: Road grading on Antelope Valley Rd.

Kingman: Road grading on 1) Jane Ave., 2) Parker St. and 3) Quail Crest Rd. Crews will be crack sealing on 1) Cedar Ridge Rd. and  2) Thompson Ave. They will be repairing the right of way and repairing pot holes in the Butlerarea.

Hackberry: Road grading in the Greenwood Villagearea.

Yucca: Road grading on 1) Coyote Wells Rd., 2) Alamo Rd. from Mile 7 working south., 3) Santa Fe Ranch Rd. and 4) Butch Cassidy Rd.

Hualapai Mtn. Area: Road grading on 1) McCarrel Rd.and 2) Old Hwy. 93.

Golden Valley: Road grading on S: 1) Quartzite Dr. from Halite Rd. to Pima Rd. and 2) Dawson Dr. from Garnet Rd. to Yaqui Rd.  SE: 1) Redwall Dr. from Aztec Rd. to Verde Rd., 2) Adobe Rd. from Redwall Dr. to Bolsa Dr. and 3) Bolsa Dr. from Adobe Rd. to Colorado Rd.  SW: 1) Dewey Rd. from Redwall Dr. to end of maintenance, 2) Eden Rd. from Bolsa Dr. to Chuar Dr. and 3) Ehrenberg Rd. from Bolsa Dr. to end of maintenance. Meadview: Road grading on 1) Charles Dr. from Pierce Ferry Rd. to Bullhead Rd. and 2) Glen Rd. from Pierce Ferry Rd. to Sandy Point Dr.

Mohave Valley: Road grading in the Willow Valley Estates area. Repairing pot holes on County Route 1. Clearing drivers’ line of sight in the Perry Acres area and in the Horizon 6 area. Street sweeping in the Havasu Gardens Estates area of Lake Havasu City.

Heavy Road Maintenance Projects:

Pierce Ferry Rd. Widening — July 2020 through November 2020 — Paving eastbound widened section and non-motorized trail to Mt. Tipton School.

Vanderslice Rd. / From the MCSO substation for one mile north (North of reservation Rd.) — June 8 through August 16 — CEMEX: One mile of concrete pavement

El Rodeo Rd. / Hwy 95 to Mountain View Rd. and Mountain View Rd. / El Rodeo Rd. to Joy Ln. — September 8 through 11 — Cactus Asphalt: Placing rubberized chip seal.
