Contest: Why my family counts in the 2020 Census

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City is sponsoring a creative writing, poetry and arts and video/audio performance contest for students in fifth grade through 12th  grade who attend a school in Bullhead City with a top prize of $250. Each student will have the opportunity to write a 400-word essay; design an art piece (painting, graffiti, mural); create a 2 minute video/audio – music rap or spoken word about your family. Students will need to explain in their own words why they think counting every member of their family matters to gain an accurate picture of the people who live in Bullhead City.

Your writing and art will help the City and news media spotlight why each person is so important to ensure a complete and accurate count of Bullhead City during the 2020 Census campaign.
