KINGMAN – As the City of Kingman navigates its way through the new territory of a worldwide pandemic, and how they best communicate important information to their residents, they have created a webpage with information that may be a “one-stop-shop” for community members. The link is available on the www.cityofkingman.gov homepage, by clicking the COVID-19 Information link at the top of the page, highlighted in yellow.
Because the city has closed all public access until at least April 6, community members will find information to all city departments and be able to still conduct business. There is also community information regarding school closures, free school meal resources, small business loan information, state information and many more links that are helpful.
The city has also posted information for local grocery stores and restaurants, so citizens have a resource to get information and be able to call those businesses for their most up-to-date operating hours or to place a food order for pickup/delivery.
“The site is being updated daily, as we are finding more helpful ideas to educate our community regarding these ever-changing times,” said Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin. “As we closed public access, we still want to make sure we’re providing the best customer service possible, through more creative ways with our residents, so the City’s website, and especially this page, are vital for our communication with residents,” Foggin said.
Currently all city buildings (except the Municipal Courthouse, Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course and Parks & Recreation) will remain closed to all public access until at least April 6. To protect the health of city team members and the public, all residents will be required to make requests for services remotely, through mail, email, online platforms, and telephone. City team members will be allowed into the buildings and are expected to work on-site to keep the City of Kingman operating to serve our residents. Dispatch, fire and police services will operate at normal levels. Trash pickup will remain, but KART services will be reduced. The Kingman Municipal Court, Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course and Recreation Services will remain open.
