City of Kingman Invites Residents to Participate in Community Town Hall on Strategic Priorities

City council

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is inviting residents to participate in an upcoming Town Hall on Friday, March 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This important community engagement event will provide residents and community stakeholders with the opportunity to provide feedback on key strategic areas including infrastructure, economic development, fiscal and organizational responsibility, and community engagement.

In past years, the City has hosted workshop-style town halls that included presentations and general discussion. For this upcoming Town Hall, the City is introducing a format centered on structured community input. Rather than formal presentations, participants will respond to prepared discussion questions designed to gather direct feedback. City leadership will serve as table moderators and record comments and ideas shared, ensuring input is accurately captured while residents and community stakeholders lead the discussion.

To encourage meaningful and focused small-group conversations, participation in the discussion portion of the Town Hall will be limited. Residents interested in participating must register by emailing pio@cityofkingman.gov or calling 928-753-8571 no later than March 13. Registrants must include their full name, residential address, email address, and phone number to confirm participation. Participation is limited to residents of the City of Kingman.

From those who register, 24 participants will be randomly selected through a lottery process to take part in the table discussions.  A lottery drawing will be held on March 16, and the first 24 randomly selected participants will be notified at that time.

The Town Hall will begin with light breakfast and check-in from 8–8:45 a.m., followed by the discussion program from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The meeting will remain open to the public for observation, and all residents are encouraged to attend and listen.

Feedback gathered during the Town Hall will help inform future City planning efforts, including budget development, policy discussions, and the prioritization of initiatives that affect the Kingman community.
