Dear Editor, Responding to Rick Simpson’s question about the flavor of the “Blue KoolAid” in the Oct. 20 issue of The Standard. I will gladly explain why I think anyone making over $400K a year should be paying a bit more taxes. Maybe it’s just me, but I believe it is high time we—the middle class—get some relief from being the ones paying for most of the expenses running this country’s programs. Dear Editor, America needs attention to our infrastructure. It’s pathetic that our Congress and President are having so much trouble putting something together they can agree on. We managed to spend the equivalent of a trillion dollars in today’s currency on the Vietnam war. What did we get for a trillion dollars? Over 58,000 dead American soldiers. Dear Editor, Valle Vista is a Property Owners Association with by-laws and CL-R’s, so make sure you read them. Also make sure you have your builder get permits from our office before you get them from Mohave County. That way you will get started here by following our by-laws and CL-R’s. We have a nice community church, a 72-hole golf course and clubhouse, and a park and pool. We have a small fire station that doesn’t believe in fire hazards.
