KINGMAN – Authorities are looking for a Kingman family that vanished after a planned camping outing at Katherine’s Landing in Bullhead City. Kingman police are hoping the public will provide information helping them locate Erika Irene Allison, 36, her husband Joshua Robert Martinez, 30, and Psymon J. Kelly, Allison’s 17-year-old son. Police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said it is believed that the family left Kingman on Sept. 11 for a 7–10-day excursion at Lake Mohave. KINGMAN – A homicide trial began Wednesday in Mohave County Superior Court in Kingman. Roy Medlin, 65, Golden Valley, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of David Hendrix, 49. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jake Chavez said the pair argued over rental debt for days before Medlin shot and killed Hendrix on Oct. 3, 2020 at the defendant’s home in the 4600 block of N. So Hi Blvd. He said Medlin’s justified shooting claims are not supported by the evidence. “The facts will show that Roy did not act in self-defense. Local student makes her NASA dream a reality

KINGMAN – Skyler Cox of Kingman recently got the opportunity to attend Space Camp at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The program lasted a week from Aug. 21-27 and trained students with hands-on activities to experience what working at NASA is like. The Camp promotes interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) while also utilizing important life skills such as teamwork and problem-solving. Skyler spent the week learning what it would be like to be an astronaut and to work at NASA’s mission control. This trip was something that Skyler decided she wanted to do…

The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce held its 45th Annual Andy Devine Awards at the Elks Lodge #468 recognizing Chamber Members for a number of achievements. Those who received awards did so by working to make the Kingman community a better place. Nominees were awarded in 11 different categories. Beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance, an invocation was followed by remarks from the Chamber of Commerce organizers.
