I-40 Rancho Santa Fe Parkway project on hold

KINGMAN – The Arizona Department of Transportation indicates that the Interstate 40 Rancho Santa Fe Parkway project “is on hold.” The project that includes development of a multi-million-dollar interchange with arterials leading north to the Kingman Airport and South to Hualapai Mountain Road had been scheduled to be put out for construction bids on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Chambers plea possible, project status possibly on hold

KINGMAN – An Arizona Attorney General’s Office prosecution of an alleged illegal campaign contribution in Kingman’s 2018 mayoral election may not go to trial. Defense Attorney Brad Rideout informed Judge Billy Sipe Tuesday that plea negotiations may bear fruit in the case against realtor Justin Chambers. “We’re working on a non-trial resolution at this point in time. Nothing firm, but we’re working towards that direction,” Rideout. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa Cox is stepping down. Cox intended to retire at the end of her term but has informed the Board of Supervisors and County Management team that serious health issues prompt her resignation effective Dec. 31, 2021. “It has been an honor and pleasure to represent the citizens of Mohave County for the last 9 years,” Cox said in her resignation notice.
