KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Solid Waste Department has begun removing the 300-gallon shared containers from alleys and giving each customer their own 90-gallon container. There will be no additional charge for having an individual container instead of a shared one in the alley. Lake Mead National Recreation Area officials have announced a complete closure of the park to recreational use. This closure order is expected to remain in effect through at least Monday, and conditions at the park will be assessed on an ongoing basis to ensure proper measures are taken to ensure safe operations moving forward. In-custody death under investigation

KINGMAN – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said an inmate died of natural causes while in custody at the Adult Detention Center in Kingman. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the determination comes from the Medical Examiner’s Office. Mortensen said Terrance Marsden, 62, was discovered dead in his jail cell on Friday, Aug. 11. Marsden was awaiting trial for attempted murder and other charges following his June arrest for a drive-by shooting in Bullhead City.
