LAKE HAVASU CITY – Hospice of Havasu will be welcoming the holiday season with their annual Friends of Hospice Holiday Boutique on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10 and 11. Hospice of Havasu provides care for individuals with terminal illnesses and comfort to the families of the patients. Their goal is to provide a nurturing environment that will allow residents to maintain a fulfilling life. Hospice of Havasu staff works alongside clinical staff, pharmacist, and bereavement employees that are trained to create individualized health plans. KINGMAN — A woman has died eight days after being hospitalized as the result of an apparent elk attack on her property in the Pine Lake community in the Hualapai Mountains, about 15 miles southeast of Kingman.  The attack occurred on the afternoon of Oct. 26 while the woman’s husband was in Kingman. According to the husband, when he returned around 6 p.m., he found his wife on the ground in the backyard with injuries consistent with being trampled by an elk.
