 KINGMAN – The Kingman Route 66 Fest returns October 13 and 14, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14. It closes each day at 9:00 p.m. Route 66 (Andy Devine) will have a hard closure between Fairgrounds Boulevard and Harrison Street starting on Friday, October 13 at 8:00 a.m. and will reopen on Saturday, October 14 at midnight. Bullhead hosts Walk Away from Drugs & 5K Run

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments will hold the annual Walk Away from Drugs and 5K run on Wednesday, October 25th to celebrate Red Ribbon Week.  “We encourage all participants to wear red and hold signs or banners to show their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle,” said Community Services Officer Lorrie Duggins. The Red Ribbon campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program nationwide. The campaign began in 1985 when drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena. Homeowner holds alleged burglar at gunpoint until law enforcement arrives

FT. MOHAVE – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to a residence in the 1600 block of La Entrada for a reported prowler on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The homeowner advised that they had the suspect detained, on the ground at gunpoint. When deputies arrived on scene the homeowner advised he observed the door to one of his vehicles was open. Upon further inspection, he observed another vehicle had the door cracked open with the suspect’s leg sticking out of the door. LAKE HAVASU CITY – A man who abused his girlfriend during an alcohol fueled quarrel in Lake Havasu City has entered a plea agreement and begun serving jail time.
