Basoco sentenced to five years in jet ski death

BULLHEAD CITY – A five-year prison term was ordered Monday for a Las Vegas woman who pleaded guilty to multiple charges in a deadly jet ski accident on the Colorado River in Bullhead City. There is no dispute that Iridian Basoco, 27, had drugs in her system when the private watercraft she operated entered a designated swim zone at a high rate of speed on July 4, 2022 near Community Park. Swimmer drowns at Lake Havasu

LAKE HAVASU – A suspected drowning at Lake Havasu is under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Boating Safety Division personnel responded at about 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10 to the area near The Islander RV Park. Authorities learned that a woman disappeared after jumping from a boat for a swim. “When she entered the water, her improperly secured life jacket came off,” said MCSO public information specialist Anita Mortensen. “The victim began to panic, then went below the surface of the water.” Rescue divers deployed in the area were unable to locate the victim. Andy Devine ADA Improvement Project Begins

KINGMAN, Ariz. – Starting on Monday, March 11th, the City of Kingman will undertake the Andy Devine ADA Improvement project, which is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The project will address the ADA needs on Hall Street, Johnson Avenue, Broadway Avenue, and East Andy Devine Avenue. During the project’s duration, there will be lane restrictions and intermittent closures.
