Construction set to begin on I-40/US 93 Kingman interchange

PHOENIX – Work is scheduled to get underway Thursday, July 11, on a free-flowing interchange connecting US 93 and Interstate 40 in Kingman.

The $106 million project is planned to eliminate delays that can occur for passenger and truck traffic on the main route between Las Vegas and Arizona. While traffic now must stop at a traffic signal where Beale Street intersects with I-40, a system-to-system interchange will feature ramps that allow traffic to flow freely.

Leftover permit-tags remain for 2024 fall hunts

PHOENIX — Arizona hunters who were unsuccessful in the recent 2024 fall draw still have an opportunity to receive a hunt permit-tag for deer or javelina.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) has posted a list of leftover hunt permit-tags, as well as a printable paper application on its website.

Fire Department personnel responded at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 to the incident in the 2500 block of Country Club Place. “Firefighters encountered heavy smoke coming from the roofline of the residence,” a news release said. “Crews worked diligently despite challenges posed by a partial roof collapse.

BULLHEAD CITY – Two drug dealing suspects reportedly led officers during separate police pursuits before one jumped into the Colorado River with a bag full of illegal drugs. The June 27 incident began at 7:00 a.m. when the wanted couple, Thomas Morgan, 35, and Ashley Nail, 33, first eluded Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies during an attempted traffic stop in Mohave Valley.
