MCC’s student computer club hosts annual technology recycling event

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College Kingman Campus student club, MC4, held a technology recycle drive in partnership with the City of Kingman’s Public Works Department. The recycle drive was held April 27 where a total of 9,360 pounds of technology was collected. The event was well attended with local community members stopping by to recycle their unused technology.

Hernandez achieves Spring 2024 Dean’s List

Isabella Hernandez of Lake Havasu City was named among the students who qualified for Belmont University’s spring 2024 Dean’s List. Approximately 44% of the University’s 7,338 undergraduate students qualified for the spring 2024 Dean’s List. Jones acquitted in sex offense case

KINGMAN – A young man facing possible life behind bars instead gained freedom when a Mohave County Superior Court jury acquitted him at his sex offense trial in Kingman Wednesday morning, May 15. Keith Jones, 22, was charged with five counts each of sexual assault and sexual conduct with a minor for alleged activity with an underage female teenager in Kingman. Determining insufficient evidence to merit conviction, Judge Derek Carlisle dismissed three of the ten charges late Tuesday before jurors returned to deliberate the other counts Wednesday. 40 minutes later, the panel acquitted Jones of all of the other charges….

Missing person found deceased

BULLHEAD CITY – Positive identification by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office of a body discovered in Bullhead City figures prominently in a missing person case. Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Craig Mitchell was reported missing April 19, four days after a concerned friend reported he had not returned after running out of gas and attempting to walk to Adobe Rd. to secure fuel.
