BULLHEAD CITY – Two drug dealing suspects reportedly led officers during separate police pursuits before one jumped into the Colorado River with a bag full of illegal drugs. The June 27 incident began at 7:00 a.m. when the wanted couple, Thomas Morgan, 35, and Ashley Nail, 33, first eluded Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies during an attempted traffic stop in Mohave Valley.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Don’t Be Greedy nonprofit is making strides to improve healthcare options for the locals of Lake Havasu. Small towns can often be a refreshing change from larger bustling urban cities.
MOHAVE COUNTY – Honor Flight is a national, non-profit corporation made to honor and pay respects to veterans of WWII, The Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The organization has been providing veterans with this 100% free opportunity since 2005. Honor Flight Southern Nevada (HFSN), founded in 2013, is Kingman, Bullhead, and Havasu’s closest hub, always reaching out to Kingman, Bullhead, and Havasu veterans in hopes of giving them this beautiful opportunity.
KINGMAN – A defense attorney who requested probation instead saw his Kingman client receive a near double-decade prison term during a June 28 sentencing hearing. The 17.5-year prison term imposed by Judge Doug Camacho was the maximum under terms of a plea agreement convicting 67-year-old Steven Willard of two counts of aggravated assault.
KINGMAN – Authorities continue investigating the death of a Kingman woman. 33-year-old Molly Hopper reportedly left her Rancho Santa Fe area residence on June 26 and was considered endangered because she was without her necessary medications.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – Can pet owners prevent their dogs from attacking others? Although the idea may seem wild, it is also possible.
In April and May, there were two reported dog attacks within the Lake Havasu community. The dogs of two residents were accused of violating another dog and their owner in April.
