Ramos enters plea for aggravated assault

A Bullhead City man who hurt the mother of his child and their four-month-old son has entered a plea agreement convicting him of aggravated assault and child abuse by domestic violence. Jonah Ramos, 46, faces a punishment range of probation up to 6.25 years in prison when sentenced April 29.    Two aggravated assault charges and a criminal damage count are dismissed in the deal that was unveiled Tuesday in Mohave County Superior Court. Lane sentenced to 6 years in plea deal

Invasive touching of an eight-year-old girl brings a six-year prison term for a Lake Havasu City man. The punishment imposed during an April 1 sentencing hearing for Michael Lane, 60, was stipulated in a plea agreement convicting him of the reduced charge of attempted child molestation.    The victim’s mother told the Court that Lane has caused her family much grief.   “This has 100 % ruined my daughter’s life, my son’s life and my life forever,” she said. “Our lives will never be the same. Couch pleads guilty, takes deal in drug case

Criminal charges in two drug cases are being resolved in a plea agreement entered for a Bullhead City woman. Debra Couch, 53, pleaded guilty Thursday to possession of dangerous drugs for sale.    Deputy Mohave County attorney Reed Weisberg said 5.5 grams of methamphetamine were found in September, 2017 in a bedroom Couch shared with co-defendant Edward Darling at 1923 West Robson Circle. Darling’s case is still pending.    The plea deal for Couch dismisses a paraphernalia charge in the 2017 case. It also dismisses other drug related charges involving a traffic stop during which officers seized 3 grams of meth earlier…

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists on Interstate 40 to plan ahead and be prepared to merge into open travel lanes near Seligman at the Interstate 40B overpass bridge (Exit 121) near Seligman while new bridge deck construction is underway. Visitor Fatality at South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park

On Wednesday, April 3, Grand Canyon National Park rangers responded to a call reporting that someone had fallen over the canyon rim east of Yavapai Geology Museum. Responding rangers located the body of a 67 year old male approximately 400 ft below the rim. The park’s helicopter and  technical rescue team were able to recover the body. Yavapai Geology Museum is located on the South Rim in Grand Canyon Village. At this time the area is open and accessible to visitors.
