KINGMAN – A project to replace water lines on Third Street, from the Beale St. Alley to Pine St. starts next week, and should last two months, barring any weather delays. The first closure is scheduled to start Monday, August 26, from Beale St. through the intersection of Oak St., and should last 14 days. Detours will be in place for street closures. The contractor, Freiday Construction, is working with residents in the area regarding notification, but no water service delays or disruptions are scheduled to take place. AZGFD launches online request form for free boat decons The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) continues to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS), and it seems the ramifications are being felt throughout some Western U.S. states. During the 2018-19 fiscal year, AZGFD decontaminated  a record 237 boats — up from 159 the previous fiscal year. This increase in decontaminations also has helped some Western states, namely Idaho and Utah, curtail accumulations of AIS.
