No injuries in kitchen fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 3:25 p.m. on Monday, September 23, a homeowner, from the 3600 block of Pontchartrain Drive reported a fire on the stove from a burning candle. The occupant put out the fire with a garden hose prior to Lake Havasu City Fire Department’s arrival. The occupants evacuated the residence safely. The first arriving fire company reported smoke coming from the back of the casita. Four engine companies, one truck company, and one battalion chief responded to the fire. ‘Guardian’ installed in downtown Kingman

The proud papa of Kingman’s newest sculpture dubbed “The Guardian” by Jim Rowe (pictured) was delivered in predawn hours last Sunday morning. Roe, a southern California native and Arizona investor has bought numerous properties in old Kingman and was motivated to bring attention to the rehab of the 200 block of Topeka.
