LAKE HAVASU CITY – A reminder to join Lake Havasu City Mayor Cal Sheehy and City Manager Jess Knudson for coffee and casual conversation tomorrow, Friday October 4, 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Lake Havasu Senior Center, located at 450 Acoma Boulevard South. Residents are encouraged to attend to express any issues, concerns, or questions.  The meeting does not require an RSVP, as it is an informal come-and-go setting. U.S. Air Force Airman Thomas G. Mccoy graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is a 2018 graduate of Lake Havasu High School, Lake Havasu City.

Around 50 volunteers spent their Saturday helping the National Park Service clean up Six Mile Cove, a popular beach on Lake Mohave that needed a little extra care after a busy summer. During National Public Lands Day, the volunteers removed around 1,000 pounds of glass and 12 cubic yards of trash and debris from the area. “The clean-up made a visible difference and leaves the area looking better than ever,” said Samuel Durbin, park ranger Lake Mead National Recreation Area. “Visitors have been commenting how great the area looks.
