KINGMAN – A five-year old girl and an older sibling have been removed from a Kingman home that has been condemned and declared uninhabitable. Kingman police said the girl opened the door while her mother hid in another room when police arrived Tuesday to assist a Department of Child Safety investigation at a home in the 700 block of Ridgecrest Drive. Michael Anthony Gurney, 39, and his wife Donna Ann Gurney, 43, were initially arrested on charges associated with previously issued warrants. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa Cox has announced the dates, addresses, and office hours for the Bullhead and Lake Havasu Cities’ temporary satellite offices. The temporary satellite offices will be open from Monday, October 28, through Friday, November 1 in Bullhead City at Mohave Electric Cooperative, 928 Hancock Road; and in Lake Havasu City at the Mohave County Complex, 2001 College Dr. Satellite office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with closure each day from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for lunch. Rap artist death probe brings local arrest

An ongoing federal investigation has led to the arrest of a Lake Havasu City man. Ryan Reavis, 36, was arrested Monday following execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Barcelona Loop. Lake Havasu police detective Chris Angus said a physician’s prescription pad, prescription-only pills, a usable amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located. LAKE HAVASU CITY – A month-long investigation of suspected methamphetamine sales activity in Lake Havasu City and Parker has resulted in drug seizures and the arrests of four suspects. Lake Havasu police report that one pound of meth was confiscated from a vehicle that was stopped in La Paz County on September 17. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Fire Department has recognized the Lake Havasu Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) on the installation of their 500th residential Knox box. The residential Knox box is a secure system that offers emergency access to a home for residents that are unable to open the door for responders. KINGMAN – The guest speaker for Oct. 8 Kingman Republican Women’s meeting will be Andrea Kadar. Kadar will be speaking against the upcoming ballot item of legalizing recreational marijuana. Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa Cox will also speak on current issues related to the Treasurer’s office.
