This event benefits the Foundation’s Catch It Early program, which helps local women obtain the breast healthcare they need – regardless of their ability to pay. They provide community outreach and education; free or low-cost mammograms; and other healthcare and support services for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. KINGMAN – A vehicle struck a law enforcement officer and two patrol vehicles were struck but no injuries were reported during a wild chase that ended in Kingman Monday afternoon. Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 1:39 p.m. to conduct a welfare check after a citizen reported spotting a male in a vehicle parked two days off Interstate 40, about 27 miles west of Kingman. “The reporting party advised she had observed several empty prescription bottles inside the car and the male subject was hiding under a blanket,” said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. KINGMAN – Kingman Vice Mayor Travis Lingenfelter has been selected for the Mohave County Procurement Director Position. Lingenfelter’s proposed hiring at an annual salary of $102,000 will be considered during the Board of Supervisors meeting next Monday. Lingenfelter was offered the position Monday after he and another applicant finalist from Florida were interviewed by a screening panel comprised largely of county department heads. Lingenfelter is declining comment before the Board considers his hiring next week. Lingenfelter is also a declared candidate for District 1 supervisor, but Human Resources Director Ken Cunningham said he would have to drop out of the…
