Elective Surgeries To Resume May 1 For Health Care Facilities That Meet Preparedness Standards With hospitals reporting increased availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and bed capacity, Governor Ducey today issued an Executive Order removing restrictions on conducting elective surgeries for hospitals, health care facilities and providers that meet certain preparedness criteria.  Under the new order, hospitals, dental offices and other health facilities can resume conducting elective surgeries on May 1 if they can show they have implemented measures intended to keep health care workers and patients safe. MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 22, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified tonight of 5 new positive COVID-19 cases. The first four are all in the Kingman service area. Two of those are in the 55-64 age range; one is in the 45-54 age range and one is in the 20-44 age range.  The final case is in the Lake Havasu City service area and the person is in the 20-44 age range. BULLHEAD CITY – Four Bullhead City council hopefuls are facing candidacy challenges in Mohave County Superior Court. Separate legal actions have been submitted that allege they failed to collect enough valid signatures on nominating petitions to qualify for the August-November election cycle.   Those facing candidacy challenge include re-election seeking incumbents Mark Clark, Tami Ring and Kathy Bruck. BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City has canceled the last Farmer’s Market of the season scheduled for Saturday, May 2. “It is in the best interest of the community to cancel the last Farmer’s Market of the year due to COVID-19,” City Manager Toby Cotter said. “We had approximately 5,000 people at the February event.
