City of Kingman urges bar, restaurant compliance

KINGMAN, Ariz. – Governor Doug Ducey issued Executive Order 2020-09 that limits the operations of certain businesses to slow the spread of COVID-19.  Specifically, the order requires that all bars, movie theaters, indoor gyms and fitness clubs close public access in all counties that have a positive result for COVID-19.  Restaurants are limited to “dine-out” options including pick-up, delivery and drive-through options. Mohave County does not have any confirmed cases, but the backlog of testing within the state is immense. Local schools prepare for online, at-home learning experiences

KINGMAN – Some 900 Kingman Unified School District (KUSD) employees are busy preparing lesson plans to keep educating more than 7,000 students while public schools are on extended closure due to the coronavirus outbreak. Superintendent Gretchen Dorner said the district will lose at least three weeks of on-campus teaching, but does not expect to have to extend the school year into the summer to make up for lost time in the classroom. Bullhead City deploys virtual City Hall
